Mervyn King is a certified accountant, Certified Product of QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Certified Business Valuation Analyst. Bill began his career in public accounting in 1979. Since then he has worked with several accountant companies in Connecticut. Bill earned a postgraduate degree in professional accounting from the University of Hartford after attending Connecticut University and Connecticut State University at Bachelor and Master's Studies. He was followed by Purdue University for doctoral study of accounting and quantitative methods in the field.
Bill studied graduate and baccalaureate courses in accounting, audit and other subjects at Hartford University, Connecticut State University, Hartford State Technical School, and Purdue University. He also taught GMAT and CPA in Stanley H. Kaplan Education Center and Person-Wolinsky and is certified for providing technical courses for Connecticut Technical Schools.
His articles on taxes and accounts have been published in various academic journals across the country and on various financial news websites. William was born and raised in New Britain, Connecticut, and was a member of the city's treasury and tax council, as well as his city commissions.
